Maryam Parman
Founder & Award Winning Personal Injury Attorney
By the time Maryam Parman entered law school in 1994 at Western University College of Law, she already knew what she wanted to do once she got her Juris Doctor (J.D.). As an undergraduate studying pre-med at the University of California, Irvine, she’d developed an awareness of human injury and she knew that she wanted to help people who have been physically harmed.
She decided that she wanted to do that by becoming a renowned female personal injury lawyer. Since launching her career in 1998, Parman has done just that by focusing her practice solely on assisting injured people in getting their lives back together.
During her final year in law school, Parman clerked in a plaintiff’s personal injury firm and then joined that firm as an associate after getting her J.D., advancing to being named partner after only two years. A year later, she ventured out to start her own practice as a successful female lawyer, which she has operated ever since.
Her own practice continues to focus solely on injury and death cases resulting from automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability, elder abuse, police brutality, animal attacks, and construction-site accidents.
Results: Verdicts & Settlements Obtained for Clients
Along the way, female attorney Maryam Parman has recovered over $1 Billion for her clients, making her one of the most successful female attorneys in California, Nevada and Arizona. She has been voted number one year after year for getting her clients maximum compensation.
Parman considers her success and recognition as a leading female personal injury lawyer to be the product of experience and commitment.
“I know the law really well,” she says. “I know a lot of the quirks in case law that most other attorneys are not familiar with, so I can really maneuver my cases to provide the best service and the best results to my client.”
But that’s only one part of the equation, she maintains. Another big aspect of being a good plaintiff’s lawyer, she says, is client service.
“I feel like it’s really important to have good communication with my clients,” Parman says. “We really care about our clients here and we make it a point to really get to know them.”
To Parman and Avrek Law Firm, commitment to client service is more than just an oral pledge.
Parman is deeply involved in numerous bar groups, including Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocate Forum. She’s also a member of all four federal district courts in California.
In 2018, Maryam Parman started The Maryam Parman Foundation for Injured Children, a nonprofit foundation to help injured children. The Foundation provides therapy, in-home nursing, medical devices and handicap accessibility, and legal services free of charge.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her young son, exercising, and reading about new legal developments in personal injury law.
